Different Preschool Fundraising Ideas

With all the educational budget cuts and some schools not permitting teachers to send home optional supply lists, some preschools are resorting to fundraising to get the items they need for the class and for field trips. Here are some preschool Fundraising Ideas so that you can raise money for your class trips and expenses!

Community Yard Sale: The sale could take place on the last Saturday of the month. Children and parents could donate items such as old toys, clothes and games to sell. With a few parent volunteers it would be a fun, social event and all proceeds would go toward classroom supplies. Any items that do not sell might also be worthy donations.

Mini Olympic Event: Children could either find sponsors or invite friends and family charging a $1 entry. Children would be divided into small teams and compete in races that might include sack and egg races, or events such as ‘musical chairs.’ You would need parent volunteers for this event and any donations of food and drink would be appreciated. It could be held in a neighborhood park which would encourage neighbors and potential new preschoolers to join in.

Children's Art Exhibit: Tickets could be sold at the door and students would be tinkled pink to see their artwork displayed as though in a museum. Art could take any form from paintings, clay sculpture to Lego construction. Every child would receive a red ribbon for simply taking part, and a small ad could even be placed in the local rag to encourage attendance.

Preschool is a child’s introduction to their education. It should be an exciting, fun place where ideas flow. Any of these fund raising events would not only bring in much needed funds but create a sense of family and community.
