Suppose that you want to hold a school Fundraiser at your local high school as a fun way for the students to get involved in a good cause and raise a little extra cash for the school. You may be a teacher at the school, the head of a department, or even an outgoing parent of a student at the high school. The first thing to consider when developing your high school fundraising idea is whether or not you have the budget to carry out your idea. If, in your head, you had thought of having hundreds of party decorations around the school, such as streamers and fairy lights, you may soon learn that this plan is way out of your budget. Sometimes in life we have to make compromises, and so by simply toning down certain aspects of your plan, you may find you can still develop your high school fundraising idea all the same.

Another thing to consider when developing your high school fundraising idea is the timing of the event. If your students are deep into studying  for finals (say, at the end of the year), it may not be the best idea to hold your fundraiser until their final exams are finished. Likewise, if you have a national holiday coming up, like Christmas or Halloween, you may find this is the best time to hold your fundraiser, as all of the students will be in good spirits.
