Getting Merchants for Pizza Fundraising Cards
Most people who research different Fundraising Ideas are stunned when they see the enormous profits available for groups selling pizza Fundraising Cards.
The typical pizza card sells for $10 and can cost as little as $1 each or even less - depending on how many cards you purchase at one time.
The one recurring question we get, though, is what is in it for the pizza store. Why would they want to participate? What do I say when I go to the store to try to sign them up?
Let me give you some economics. Of course with the rising cost of food products these numbers might be slightly off. But a manager of a nationally known pizza store told us an average large pizza cost them less than $1.50 to make.

I believe most pizzerias would like that offer.
Many pizza chains pay a lot of money to advertise and are not given any guarantees of business. In fact they could run an ad in a newspaper and they must pay for the ad whether anyone uses their coupon or not. With pizza card fundraisers they pay nothing to advertise and only give the cost of a medium pizza if the coupon is actually used. That is paying only on performance. You can compare the card to a commission only sales person.
So, why should that participate?
1. The store does not pay anything if they don't get customers.
2. You will promote their store with people you know and will want to support your organization.
3. They have the chance to impress those customers and keep them as future customers.
4. They will be helping a local group and in so doing becoming an important member of the community.
Most pizza store owners recognize the value of pizza card fundraisers and will gladly participate.
