Many Little League Fundraising Ideas
One way to fund a little league team is by fundraising. There are many little league Fundraising Ideas to choose from. Because it's generally very expensive to buy uniforms and rent the use of a lot, teams often turn to fundraising to get their equipment. What can you do to raise money?
Selling Candy: Selling candy has been one of the oldest and most successful fundraising ideas for years. You can buy candy in bulk for discount prices and resell it at a high markup to make profit. The appeal of buying sweets from sweet kids leaves most people defenseless when it comes to caving in and buying candy! To add more personality to your candy drive, you can do more than just go door-to-door with the children. Consider asking a local grocery store if you can set up a table outside. Have your little league team dress up in fun ways or perform to attract attention from customers. Make sure your candy and purpose are prominently displayed on all signs and advertising.
Discount Cards are also popular. You can also call these “Spirit Cards” as they are used to show school spirit. You sell cards that offer customers special discounts. Typically, the cards cost under 20 dollars. If your school already has a spirit card made, you can use theirs and sell them door-to-door or at sporting functions and school events. If you don't have access to a discount card, you'll need to call around to local businesses and ask if they'd be willing to offer a discount to your patrons. Most will offer a 10% off offer in exchange for the new customers brought in to their store.
Little Dinner Party: This one is always a big hit for younger kids. Have the adults chip in to make enough food for a dinner party. Charge guests for tickets and sell them to all the parents, friends, and faculty. At the dinner party, have your little league kids dress up in their fanciest attire and act as little waiters and waitresses. Adults love seeing their kids dressed up like this, and kids love feeling like they're fancy and helping out.
